When it comes to lawn equipment, there’s precious little of it designed and intended for heavy-duty professional use.  That’s why, at AgDiesel, we’re ecstatic when one of the makers of professional grade turf care equipment introduces a new product, especially one as well put together as Kubota’s ZD326H Zero-Turn mower.

Built to cut lawn – a lot of lawn – this machine is powered by a Kubota-built 26hp diesel, and features a commercial-grade mower deck that measures 72 inches wide.  The engine is a real workhorse, displacing 1123 cubic centimeters, mated to a heavy-duty twin hydrostatic transmission with a wet-type power-take-off clutch.  If this engine is anything like the rest of the Kubota line-up (and we have no reason to believe that it isn’t) we can expect it to provide years of trouble free service, owing to the company’s reputation for providing durability and performance.

Atop the very capable mower deck (adjustable in ¼” increments from 1 to 5 inches in cutting height) sits a high back deluxe suspension seat, with hydraulic deck lift controls and a hands free parking brake.  The operator’s platform is designed with ergonomics in mind.  As this machine targets professional turf care companies and large property owners, Kubota knows that it’s likely to be operated for long stretches of time.  The fuel tank is large – 12.9 gallons – allowing for more cutting time, and less down-time for refueling.

AgDiesel engineers are always looking at the newest offerings of the country’s best providers of diesel equipment, because we know how hard you work, and how hard your equipment works.  It’s great to see Kubota harnessing the power of diesel in a turf-care machine.

At AgDiesel, we’re interested in all kinds of diesel equipment. We’re always looking at new entrants to the market, not only to consider improvements to them with AgDiesel diesel modules, but also because we’re interested in farming, and the work that diesel products do in helping bring goods to market.

New Holland’s Sp400F is a landmark in their lineup of sprayers.  It’s the first such machine to incorporate their Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Tier 4B diesel engines, which provide excellent power and fuel economy.  Available power plants for these sprayers make between 300 and 380 horsepower, a first for New Holland.

With tank sizes ranging from 1000 to 1600 US gallons, the Sp400F features four-wheel hydrostatic drive, and a carefully balanced 50/50 weight distribution, no matter how much liquid is left in the tanks.  This is especially important to farmers spraying in wet soil or other soft conditions, to keep the machine from digging in.

In terms of usability and serviceability, the engineers at New Holland have really done their homework.  The cooling system, rather than stacking the various coolers (radiator, transmission, etc.) horizontally, as is traditionally the case, has separated them and stacked them vertically.  This allows more air to flow across each one, improving cooling. A reversible fan, for blowing debris out of the radiators, is optional.

The cab itself is completely redesigned, and just might be the nicest office in all of agriculture.  The seat is air-ride equipped, and matches itself to the weight of the operator automatically.  The cabin is air conditioned, and features heated controls, two touch-screen displays, and a mount for a cell phone or tablet.

AgDiesel engineers are always looking at the newest offerings of the country’s best providers of diesel equipment.  We’re thoroughly impressed by New Holland’s Sp400F sprayer offering.

Georgia-based AGCO, manufacturer of agricultural equipment has introduced new models across all three of its American brands.  At the US farm shows last February, new tractors for Challenger, Massey Ferguson, and Fendt were unveiled, further cementing the company’s place as one of the primary innovators in the industry.

The biggest impact on their North American offerings will come from five models in both the Massey Ferguson 8700 Series, and the virtually identical Challenger MT600E lineup.

These tractors span the 270 to 370 horsepower range, all employing AGCO’s own 8.4 litre diesels, putting out between 900 and 1135 ft-lbs of torque.  The engines use twin turbochargers with electronic control.  The new CYCLAIR cooling system is more efficient without using larger cooling components, boosting economy through use of new vents in the hood, grill, and side panels.  All of AGCO’s new offerings are Tier-4 Final Compliant, and come with the Dyna-VT Continuously Variable Transmission.

When examining the place of these tractors in the market, it’s obvious that AGCO is working hard to build on their already considerable success.  Each of these offerings mirrors the tractors in the line that came before it, with improvements to nearly all performance statistics, as well as ergonomics and operator comfort.

With roots dating back to the mid-18th Century, and incorporation as the Allis-Gleaner Corporation (AGCO) in 1990, the company has grown into a global giant in the agricultural equipment industry, with manufacturing locations in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.

AgDiesel engineers are always looking at the newest offerings of the country’s best providers of diesel equipment, because we know how hard you work, and how hard your equipment works.  We want to improve your ability to bring your produce to market, by making already great diesel equipment even better – more powerful and fuel-efficient.

Western Turbo is proud to announce that the list of applications for AgDiesel diesel control modules is growing.

These modules, which can increase power output while reducing fuel consumption, translate to money in the bank for farmers.

These high quality modules are built to exacting specifications, and are designed to augment the power and economy of your diesel equipment (tractors, threshers, etc.) by tapping into the system and making smarter decisions about variables like the air/fuel mixture than your existing control computer.  As a result, your capacity to do work (plow, harvest, etc.) will go up, with an increase in horsepower of 15-30% over stock specifications, while fuel consumption is reduced.

It’s our goal to make this technology available to as many different pieces of diesel equipment as possible.  AgDiesel modules are available for equipment by AGCO, Apache IH Case, Caterpillar, John Deere, Kubota, Challenger, Massey Ferguson, and many others. Click here for a full listing of applications for AgDiesel modules.  Remember that this list is growing all the time, so it’s likely that your late-model equipment will be added sometime in the near future.

In recent decades, Kubota tractors have gained a great deal of popularity, mostly because the company makes a great product and stands firmly behind it. Kubota first came to America from Japan in 1969, and has since set up a number of subsidiary factories in North America.

If you have a Kubota Common Rail Diesel engine in your tractor (pre Tier IV, Early 2012) you can install an AgDiesel Control Module, which can increase power output by up to 30%, while at the same time decreasing fuel consumption by 10-20%.

Sound too good to be true? Consider that AgDiesel Control Modules have a strong following among Agricultural enterprises, and have been independently engineered by AgDiesel with input from the front line operators. We went out to find out what farmers needed, designed it, tested it, and brought it to market. Other performance module brands have tried to duplicate our success in the Agricultural marketplace, but they’ve come up short or failed completely. We know how well these modules are built, so we guarantee them for life.

We use the highest quality components, many of which meet military specifications, and then we assemble them meticulously, ensuring that each electrical connection is directly soldered. We don’t take any shortcuts, eliminating the potential for circuit failures that other attachment methods can lead to. We then completely encase the module in a cold-curing epoxy, which protects the electronics from extreme temperatures, vibration, and environmental particulate, all of which will be present in daily use.

If you have one of the following tractors, the KUB1500 Module form AgDiesel is the way to increase performance, reduce fuel cost, and get more from your machine:

M100X, M108S, M110X, M126X, M128X, M135X, M8560, M9960

AgDiesel Modules are available from Western Turbo in Winnipeg. To find out more, call us toll-free 1-800-665-7556.

John Deere’s time-tested 7.6 and 8.1L diesel power plants are used in a variety of the company’s equipment, from tractors to combines, and provide excellent performance in stock form, largely because of the Bosch Electronic Diesel Control (EDC) fuel injection system.

AgDiesel’s RE1000 module can boost the already impressive horsepower figures that these engines put out by up to 35%, while at the same time lowering fuel consumption by 10-20%. They give farmers the capacity to do more work at less cost, which sounds too good to be true. As AgDiesel’s record of performance improvement shows, these figures are both attainable and sustainable.

The RE1000 is user-configurable in that there are 4 easy to choose settings, resulting in stock output, +15%, +25%, and +35% performance.

The module easily installed in minutes. It plugs directly into the fuel injection unit on your engine, and is a completely sealed unit. We use an epoxy to protect the components, rather than a conventional enclosure. The RE1000 has been constructed to withstand the rigors of modern farming like long hours of operation, vibration, and temperature extremes.
We are confident that AgDiesel modules are the best built Diesel Control Modules on the market, and that our choice of high quality components and our manufacturing process mean that our units will serve you indefinitely, and stand behind them with a lifetime warranty.

AgDiesel Modules are available from Western Turbo in Winnipeg. To find out how to get the RE1000 or another performance and economy enhancing AgDiesel module into your equipment, where they can start doing you and your business some good, call us at 1-800-665-7556.
